Our thoughts and prayers are with the Vanderbilt LifeFlight team after the recent incident. We stand with our fellow EMS professionals during this difficult time and wish healing and comfort to everyone affected.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is deeply saddened to confirm that a Vanderbilt LifeFlight helicopter was involved in an accident this afternoon in Wilson County, TN. Three crew members were on board. Tragically, one crew member lost their life, and two others are in critical condition and receiving care at Vanderbilt University Hospital. No patient was on board at the time of the incident.

Our hearts and deepest sympathies are with our Vanderbilt LifeFlight colleagues, their families, and loved ones during this difficult time.

Two of our Saint Thomas EMS paramedics are on site at the Arizona Cardinals Stadium today, providing medical support for the Tennessee Titans.

Our paramedics travel with the team to every game, ensuring continuity of care because they are familiar with the players’ medical histories and needs. This close partnership allows for faster, more personalized response if any emergencies arise, keeping the team safe and ready to perform at their best.

Saint Thomas EMS is on-site at Nissan Stadium today for the Tennessee Titans vs. Indianapolis Colts game.

Our team is here to support both the fans and the players, with medical rooms located throughout the stadium, as well as cart teams and on-foot personnel ready to respond wherever needed.

Three of our Critical Care Paramedics(CCPs) just completed the 3 Day Neonatal/Pediatric ECMO Training and Simulation Course at EC², and soon all of our CCPs will have this advanced training.

This course gives our medics a stronger understanding of NICU and ECMO treatment. The NICU provides intensive care for newborns with serious medical needs, while ECMO is a specialized heart and lung support therapy used for patients of all ages when those organs need time to heal. With this training, our crews are better prepared to care for patients in the most critical situations.
