Each November, we celebrate National Adoption Awareness Month with a special dinner honoring our adoptive families. Every family receives a portrait from their adoption day and an engraved star, with copies added to our growing Adoption Celebration Wall.

MillarRich has had a record number of adoptions this year—10 children were adopted into 8 loving families (so far!) in 2025. Last night’s celebration was our biggest yet, and seeing the wall so full of love was truly heartwarming.

Thank you to all the families and friends who joined us! Your presence made the night truly special.

November is Adoption Awareness Month, a time to celebrate the families who open their hearts and homes to children in need of love and support. At MillarRich, we’re especially grateful for those who make a difference in the lives of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them grow in safe, stable, and nurturing homes.

Members of MillarRich leadership traveled to Washington, D.C. last week for the ANCOR Policy Summit. We were there to advocate on behalf of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We met with our Senators and Representatives to share three key priorities:
✅ Protect Medicaid for individuals with IDD
✅ Support the HCBS Relief Act
✅ Recognize Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) with a Standard Occupational Classification
We are proud to be a voice for the people we serve and will continue to advocate for meaningful change at every level. 💙
