Female Urology of Nashville was founded by Drs. Abel, Allen, and Scarpero in 2017. We have just added Dr. Ly Hoang Roberts in 2026 after Dr. Scarpero retired.

Female Urology of Nashville is founded by Dr. Marcy Abel, Dr. Tara Allen, and Dr. Harriette Scarpero who are board certified in Urology and Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS).

How did our own Dr. Marcy Abel get her start in medicine?🤔

Dr. Abel has had an interest in urology since she was a child. She says, “I was exposed to urology at the young age of seven when I dealt with a congenital abnormality of my kidney. From there, I was naturally draw to a future in medicine. Although I practiced general urology for a number of years, I always felt most comfortable seeing women and focusing on reconstructive female urology.”❤️‍🩹

Her experience affects our practice in a multitude of ways — Dr. Abel explains that “Our mission is to provide a focused clinic tailored to the urologic needs of women that is different from what you would find in a general urology practice.”
