❤️ This week, MPHD joined the fight to End Human Trafficking with Red Sand Project events across our locations.
A powerful gathering at the West Police Precinct featured speaker, Christina Meadows, from the National Alliance to End Human Trafficking (NAHT), who shared her lived experience and survival story.
Thank you to our Prevention and Wellness team for partnering with the community to raise awareness and promote hope. Together, we take a stand.

The Metro Public Health Department has detected a concerning uptick in fatal overdose activity in the past 24 hours, specifically in the East Nashville area. Our team is working closely with our partners at Metropolitan Nashville Police Department to ensure those near the situation are able to access any available resources.

We urge residents to check in on loved ones, do not use alone, and call 911 in the case of a possible overdose. Using fentanyl test strips and carrying Narcan are also recommended. Narcan is available free of charge at either our pharmacy or at any of our preventive health clinics.

Help is available for those who are at risk of an overdose. For a list of resources and for more information about overdoses in our community, visit https://www.nashville.gov/departments/health/clinical-health-services/behavioral-health-services or scan the QR Code here.
