We finally got another Sprouts here in Jersey! Only 15 minutes from where I am 🙌🏻 I’ve been hearing rave reviews about the products from my clients, so of course, I had to see what the hype was all about!

For one, I appreciate the supermarket layout. Bigger supermarket chains can feel really overwhelming to shop in so I think Sprouts can be a good choice for someone who has an easier time navigating stores like Trader Joe’s and Aldi. They have plenty of dietitian-approved products, including some of my favorites like Banza, Chobani, and Primal that can otherwise be hard to find.

The biggest downside was the prices. I have been told Sprouts food prices are more affordable than Whole Foods however; they felt about the same. I would love to hear if anyone in NJ who has visited Sprouts noticed a significant difference in how much they paid!

My overall consensus? Save this trip for items you can’t get elsewhere or if you enjoy Sprouts-branded products. There’s plenty of other grocery stores in the area like ShopRite, Lidl, Aldi and the new Trader Joe’s! Hope this helps ☺️

FNCE FINAL DAY 🤩

Sharing highlights from my final day at , better late than never! 🤣

This day was short and sweet. I started off the mornjng attending a session on culinary applications and best methods to support cooking skills with my clients! We were taught how to combine the elements of cooking for optimal flavor: salt, fat, acid and heat!

My personal hack is making my rounds in the expo on the final day. This is when vendors are getting rid of whatever products are left and most dietitians have already returned home. This year, I got my last rounds of samples from s new strawberry sunset flavor and fish tacos from Tonnino!

As soon as I was full on my samples, I did a lap to get pictures with all the fun back drops and photo props. Shout out to for her photography skills in the first photo! 👏🏻

Anddd that concludes another year at FNCE! I’m so pumped to see what the next one has in store 🙌🏻

🌟 FNCE DAY 2 RECAP⭐️

Sharing a belated post with the highlights from day 2!

I started off the morning sampling the latest breakfast foods from followed by a walking tour of Nashville hosted by !

Attended some insightful talks about dietitians in media and communications, followed by diet trends so I can best support my clients at home

My company Nourish hosted a happy hour for us in Downtown Nashville which included fabulous food and drinks!

Concluded the night at Dietitians In Denim where we got to make custom hats, enjoy an ice cream float and ride the mechanical bull! 🤠

📸 FNCE DAY 1 RECAP📸

WHEW! 😮‍💨 Most of you know by now I attended one of the largest dietitian conferences two weeks ago. Sunday was by far the busiest day of the conference for me, but one of my favorite days. I’m excited to finally share some highlights of what makes being a dietitian so fun!

Not pictured: Started off the day with a talk on the latest product innovations (+breakfast) from !

The first session I attended was on trends (of course!) As dietitians, we need to stay up to date on the latest food trends and diets to best inform our clients. My personal favorite (that I hope is here to stay as someone in her late 20’s) is JOMO!

hosted a delicious peanut-packed lunch and shared the latest on all things peanuts : early introduction, cognitive health, sports nutrition, and sustainability ! 🥜

was my next stop! I had been a runner up in the Pass the Gourd contest and snagged a seat at the Yerba Salon. Stories and laughs were shared by registered dietitians on how they came to be in their career where the gourd was passed, followed by a dinner where we were taught how the Yerba mate tea is enjoyed!

Last but not least, celebrated 30 years of almond nutrition research with a panel discussion on updates in serving sizes and what we have learned about almonds nutritional benefits over time!

I know I’ve been very MIA but popping in to share some major milestones I hit last month (and highlights from a busy summer!)

✨ I surpassed 5 years since I became a registered dietitian!

✨Dietitian Dish is 2 years old! I’ve successfully turned an idea i had as a clinical dietitian into a part-time role🥹 I can’t wait to see what’s in store for my small business in year 3!

✨Had my one year work anniversary with my full time role at Nourish. It was honestly scary making a full leap into 100% telehealth but now I’ve had the opportunity to reach clients all over the country who may have not had access to an RD otherwise.

Now that I’m back and looking to post again, I want to hear from you! What nutrition-focused topics are you dying to know more about? How can I best support you in your nutrition journey? Let me know in the comments or shoot me a DM! ⬇️

Who’s up for a Thanksgiving dinner in July? 🙋🏻‍♀️

Trader Joe’s has you covered, with a twist! This meal was ready for me in under 30 minutes with the most effort being heating up the turkey in the pan.

Save this post and stock up on all of these items on your next Trader Joe’s run! ☑️

While I’m all for the growing amount of cottage cheese and Greek yogurt recipes on the internet, I think we need to get the conversation going on some of these other high protein sources.

Obviously no hate to cottage cheese and Greek yogurt (you know all foods fit here) , but all of us could benefit from including more plants and generally more variety in our diet. Some of our plant based proteins even have similiar (or more) protein than our animal sources! And another bonus? All of these protein foods are budget-friendly!

Did the protein content of these food sources surprise you? Let me know in the comments 👇🏻

Not too much resemblance to me, but plenty of to show how often I’m on the app. And of course, two cups of coffee to get me through long days of clients 😂

What did I miss?

No better way to return to Instagram than at the end of ! 🍠

I’m here with Spencer Stuffy repping
to share some of my favorite sweet potato facts

🍠 Sweet potato contain complex carbohydrates, which leave you feeling fuller and more energized all day long! Complex carbs provide energy for your brain, muscles, and central nervous system.

🍠 Sweet potatoes are a great source of Vitamin A and Vitamin C, which support immune health. Each sweet potato provides 120% and 30% of the recommended daily amounts of each!

🍠 Sweet potatoes are a great source of potassium, a mineral we don’t often get enough of in our diet. Potassium supports muscle function, blood pressure regulation, and fluid balance!

Sweet potatoes are an easy add-on all year round. Try a loaded baked sweet potato or add cubed sweet potatoes to sheet pans, grain bowls, and salads!

Thank you and for the sweet gift! 🙌🏻

🎄The second half of my Christmas Eve (and one of my favorite parts of the holiday) was midnight unwrapping gifts with Marco’s family and the pups

☕️ BEST BREAKFASTS AT CHICK-FIL-A🍗

As a dietitian, I know how hard it can be to find time to prepare breakfast at home during a busy work week. It is totally possible to fit meals ordered out in a balanced diet. That’s why I recently weighed in on breakfast foods to order at ChickFila for

Another easy addition I often recommend is ordering a fruit cup! This adds extra fiber, vitamins and minerals to round out the meal. Meals ordered out are often higher in sodium so it can be helpful to add hydrating foods like fruit to balance it out, whenever possible 🙌🏻
