Meet Alexander & Alina!
Weeks away from her due date, these twins were born via C-section, and their journey into the world is one their parents will never forget.

Their mom made the decision to travel from Clarksville to deliver here, placing her trust in us during one of the most emotional and uncertain moments of her life. What she found was not just medical care — but a team that wrapped her in support, calm, and compassion.

"I've felt so care for and catered to and really like a family member." she said. "I am so glad that we came here from Clarksville to bring our babies into the world. Thank you to everyone who was involved in my care. TriStar Centennial has made the scariest day of my life into a beautiful memory."

From labor and delivery to NICU care, our team is here to support families through every step of their journey — with compassion, clinical excellence, and the kind of care that feels like family.

Did you know our Level III NICU provides specialized care for critically ill or premature babies born before 32 weeks. Using advanced monitoring and diagnostic tools, we create a healing, low-stimulation environment to support their development and help them safely go home.

Thank you for trusting us with your most precious moments.

For Terry Langford, going to the right facility at the right time made a lifesaving difference. 🏥

Terry was experiencing an irregular heartbeat and shortness of breath for several weeks before her symptoms ultimately led her to seek emergency care at TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital.

Thanks to fast action and the incredible teamwork between our emergency department team, Cath lab team and interventional cardiologist Dr. Roshan Mathew, life-threatening blood clots were discovered and removed just in time.

Terry is now home, healing and holding her loved ones close.

“We always choose TriStar Greenview, and we will continue to do so,” says Terry.

Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a condition in which narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to the arms or legs. It’s easy to mistake PAD for other conditions like hip arthritis or spinal stenosis, which means often goes undiagnosed. Many people with PAD don’t experience symptoms at all. That’s why awareness of risk factors – such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and smoking – is crucial for screening.

Understanding the early warning signs is the first step toward timely intervention and better quality of life. In most cases, lifestyle changes, exercise and medications are enough to slow the progression or even reverse the symptoms of PAD, so talk to your doctor if you think you may be at risk. 🌟 To the NICU Moms and Dads Still in the Thick of It 💕

Right now, your days may be filled with monitors, midnight pumps, whispered prayers, and quiet strength.
But we want you to know something powerful:

💖 Look at them now.
The babies who once fit in the palm of a hand…
The ones who needed machines to breathe and round-the-clock care…
They came back to us — running, laughing, thriving.

At our recent NICU Reunion, we saw: 👩‍⚕️ Nurses tear up as they hugged the toddlers they once held through the night
🎉 Families celebrating milestones once thought impossible
📸 Moments that were once filled with fear — now bursting with joy

✨ Your story is still being written.
And it’s one of hope, healing, and heart.

You are not alone.
You are doing an incredible job.
And one day, you’ll be the one bringing your little warrior back to show just how far they’ve come. 💪👶

🎈 A Full-Circle Moment at TriStar Centennial 💙

35 years ago, Anthony Lena was born two months early at TriStar Centennial, weighing just 4.4 pounds. Last weekend, he returned to the hospital — not as a patient, but as a balloon artist at our annual NICU Reunion! 🎉

Even more special? He reunited with Patti Scott, the nurse who cared for him as a newborn. Patti is still part of our NICU team today, continuing to provide the same compassionate care that helped Anthony thrive. 💞

This is what Compassionate Connected Care is all about — care that extends beyond hospital walls and continues to impact lives for generations. 🌟

👶 Over 400 former NICU babies and families
🎪 Magicians, music, bounce houses, and balloon magic
💙 Lifelong bonds and unforgettable reunions

🧠 Did You Know?
1 in 10 babies in the U.S. is born premature — and many begin life in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). 👶💙

At TriStar Centennial, we don’t just care for tiny patients — we walk alongside families through some of their most vulnerable moments. And this past weekend, we celebrated just how far those journeys have come. 🌈

🎓 Our NICU Reunion brought together graduates from the past 5 years — each one a powerful reminder of:
✅ The resilience of premature and medically fragile infants
✅ The critical role of NICU nurses, doctors, and specialists
✅ The strength of families who never gave up

💡 Why NICU reunions matter:
They offer a chance to:
🔹 Reconnect with the caregivers who made a difference
🔹 Celebrate milestones once thought impossible
🔹 Inspire current NICU families with stories of hope and healing

🎉 From bounce houses to balloon art, magic shows to memory-making — this day was filled with joy, but grounded in something deeper: gratitude, growth, and the science of saving lives.

👶💛 “She cared for my baby—but also for me.” 💛👶
After a second C-section under general anesthesia, one mom found more than just medical care—she found compassion, comfort, and connection in Cat Sowell, RN.

✨ From easing surgical trauma to giving her newborn her first bath, Catherine went above and beyond—bringing light, love, and healing to a vulnerable moment.

💬 “She just felt like a light when I was struggling. I felt so loved by someone I had just met.”

This is what extraordinary nursing looks like.
This is what it means to live out HCA Healthcare’s mission:
“Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.”

📣 To Catherine—and every nurse who sees the whole person—thank you.

🎈✨ From NICU Baby to Balloon Boss ✨🎈
A full-circle moment that will melt your heart 💙

For families who’ve walked the NICU journey, every milestone matters. And at TriStar Centennial Medical Center, one former NICU baby is now creating magic for the next generation. 🏥👶

Meet Anthony Lena, the balloon artist behind Balloons of Pure Awesomeness—and a NICU graduate himself. Born in 1990, Anthony returned to the very place his life began… this time, with a twist (literally 🎈😉).

💬 “I got my brother here! He’s also a NICU baby—born right here in 2000!”

What started with a balloon kit on Christmas morning at age 10…
🎁➡️🎈
…has become a 25-year career of spreading joy, color, and courage.

At this special NICU reunion, Anthony’s creations lit up the faces of former patients and their families—reminding us all how far a little love (and a lot of balloons) can go. 💫

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Reunions.
🎉 Celebrations.
💪 Stories of strength.
And one artist who turned his beginning into a beautiful mission.

Meet Avery: A Survivor’s Strength at 14 🎗️

This Cancer Survivor Month, we’re shining a light on Avery Switzer, whose world turned upside down at just 11 when she was diagnosed with leukemia.

📊 Did you know?
Leukemia is the most common cancer in children and teens, accounting for nearly 1 out of 3 childhood cancers.

Now 14 and in remission, Avery is using her voice to support other young people who have recently received a cancer diagnosis. She’s spreading a powerful message of hope and resilience. 🧡

💬 From Avery:
“My leukemia diagnosis changed everything.
It made me stronger—mentally and physically.
I’ve learned to focus on what truly matters…
and not sweat the small stuff.

I share my story, so others know:
You’re not alone. 💪”

💬 From Ashlee, Avery’s Mom:
“When your child is diagnosed with cancer,
your world shifts forever.

Yes, there’s fear, grief, and guilt…
But also, resilience, compassion, and deep gratitude.

Every call, every meal, every ride—
They carried us through.
Now, I want to be that support for another parent.” 💛

☀️ Happy First Day of Summer ☀️

Today marks the first day of summer AND June is Wound Care Awareness Month—the perfect time to prep for all the cuts, bumps, scrapes and adventures ahead.

💡Knowing when to treat at home vs. when to see a doctor can make all the difference in keeping your summer stress-free.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Quick first aid for minor wounds:
✅ Clean minor wounds with water
✅ Apply antibiotic ointment
✅ Cover with a clean bandage

🚨 See a doctor if:
• Bleeding won’t stop after 10–15 mins
• Wound is deep, gaping, or from a rusty object
• Signs of infection (redness, pus, swelling)
• You haven’t had a tetanus shot in 5–10 years

Keep your summer safe, fun, and full of sunshine! 🌞
