End-of-year fatigue for teachers is normal. Clinical burnout is a different problem.

Burnout becomes a mental health disorder when you have persistent insomnia or oversleeping, physical symptoms like headaches or stomach issues, emotional numbness or crying spells you can't control, detachment from students or colleagues, or thoughts about quitting teaching.

Vacation won't fix a clinical condition. Rest helps with fatigue. Burnout, anxiety, and depression need psychiatric treatment.

A 60-minute evaluation can help you understand what you're dealing with, get a proper diagnosis, and create a treatment plan. Sometimes medication is necessary to stabilize mood and sleep so you can actually recover over the summer.

I treat anxiety, depression, and burnout in adults. You don't have to push through alone.

Some people are spending time today at gravesites, in quiet living rooms, or awake in the middle of the night replaying scenes that never fully fade.

To every veteran, service member, and family who holds folded flags, folded uniforms, and folded‑up feelings, we see your strength and your pain. Your story matters, your reactions make sense, and support for your mental health is a valid part of honoring the ones who didn't come home.

Supplements can support mental health. Sleep, stress, and overall wellness all benefit from the right supplementation.

When anxiety shows up as panic attacks that stop you from leaving the house, intrusive thoughts you can't turn off, physical symptoms like chest tightness or nausea, or avoidance that shrinks your life... random supplements from the drugstore won't resolve clinical anxiety disorder.

Clinical anxiety needs proper assessment and treatment tailored to you.

At Restoring Minds, I take a holistic approach.

After evaluating your anxiety, we create a personalized treatment plan that may include prescribed pharmaceutical-grade supplements from our Fullscript dispensary, medication when necessary, or a combination of both.

High-quality herbal and homeopathic supplements ship directly to you, prescribed specifically for your symptoms and mental health goals.

You get real answers and real relief, tailored to your body and your life.

The end of the school year feels relentless.

Field trips, teacher gifts, final projects, awards ceremonies, last-day parties, summer camp registration, childcare, guilt about screen time increasing, exhaustion you can't shake.

You tell yourself it's normal parental stress. Everyone feels this way in May, right?

Maybe…or maybe your burnout has crossed into something clinical.

You can't turn off the constant worry. Chest tightness or insomnia has become your baseline. Irritability spills over onto people close to you. You avoid responsibilities or social situations. You feel numb instead of joy.

Self-care tips won't fix a clinical condition. Bubble baths and deep breathing can help manage stress, but they can't treat generalized anxiety disorder or depression.

A 60-minute Initial Psychiatric Evaluation can help you understand what you're experiencing, get a proper diagnosis, and create a treatment plan that works. I treat anxiety, depression, and burnout with medication, holistic support, and personalized care.

I meet you where you are with compassion and respect.

A psychiatric evaluation is different from therapy.

Many people think they're the same or wonder why they'd need both. Here's the difference.

In therapy, you talk through your thoughts, feelings, and experiences over time. Your therapist helps you process emotions, develop coping skills, and work through behavioral patterns.

In a psychiatric evaluation, we assess your mental health from a medical lens. We look at symptoms, diagnose disorders (like anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder), and create a treatment plan that may include medication, genetic testing, or prescribed supplements.

In your 60-minute evaluation with me we’ll:

⭐ Cover your current symptoms and how they're affecting your daily life

⭐ Review your mental health history, medical history, and family history

⭐ Discuss any medications or supplements you're currently taking

⭐ Assess for conditions like depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, eating disorders, OCD, or bipolar disorder

⭐ Create a personalized treatment plan tailored to you (medication, genetic testing, holistic support, therapy referrals)

You'll leave with clear answers, a diagnosis, and next steps.

Therapy helps you process. Psychiatry treats the underlying condition. You may need one or both, and we'll help you figure out what's right for you.

On the outside, you sound calm. “I am fine.” “I can handle it.” “I am just tired.” On the inside, your thoughts keep spinning, your body stays tense, and you are worn out in a way sleep does not fix.

High functioning anxiety and depression tend to hide behind everyday phrases like these. You get everything done, keep showing up for people, and still feel like you are running on fumes. It can feel hard to say “something is off” when everyone around you assumes you are okay.

I'm Yolanda, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and owner of Restoring Minds Mental Health. During an Initial Psychiatric Evaluation, we meet in person so I can get to know you, your story, your history, and what you are carrying right now.

I look at symptoms, medical and mental health history, medications, and what a better day would look like for you, then create a treatment plan that is tailored to you, not a template.

When medication is part of your care, I may offer pharmacogenetic testing, which can give insight into how your genes respond to certain medications and help us choose options that fit your mental health goals with fewer rounds of trial and error.

You are allowed to get support before things feel unbearable.

Mother’s Day brings different emotions for different women.

For one woman, today holds grief after losing her mother. For another, it brings pain from a strained relationship. For another, it brings postpartum depression, anxiety, exhaustion, or guilt while she is still trying to show up for her own children.

Pain on Mother’s Day doesn't mean you're ungrateful. Numbness doesn't mean you don't care. Grief, anxiety, guilt, and overwhelm are valid responses to a day connected to deep parts of your story.

Postpartum depression, unresolved grief, and trauma often need more than self-care tips, positive thinking, or pushing through until the day ends.

At Restoring Minds, I hold space for everything.

Today may feel tender, heavy, peaceful, painful, or mixed. However the day meets you, your mental health still matters.

A first appointment with me is a conversation with structure. An Initial Psychiatric Evaluation is a 60 minute, in person session where we slow down and walk through what has been happening in your life.

We cover your symptoms and concerns, your mental health history, current medications and health, and how stress, sleep, and daily routines have been going. We also talk about what you want more of, steadier mood, more ease in your day, better focus, so the plan matches your goals instead of a generic checklist.

When medication is part of care, I may offer pharmacogenetic testing. It uses information from your genetics to help guide medication choices and cut down on trial and error.

Some weeks look fine on paper, work gets done, messages answered, everyone fed, and still your body is tired, your patience is thin, and your brain does not settle at night.

When you wake up exhausted more days than not, your mind races when you try to sleep, small tasks feel heavy, and “I am fine” is the line you keep using, your nervous system is waving a flag, not asking you to try harder.

I am Yolanda, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and owner of Restoring Minds Mental Health.

In an Initial Psychiatric Evaluation, we slow down for 60 minutes and walk through your symptoms, stress load, sleep, health history, and what life has been demanding from you, then map out a treatment plan that fits your world instead of asking you to power through alone.

You get it done. You answer the emails, show up for your people, keep the day moving, and still feel like you are falling apart inside.

High functioning anxiety and depression tend to hide in plain sight.

From the outside, you look pulled together. On the inside, your thoughts keep looping, your mood dips for no clear reason, your shoulders live near your ears, and sleep does not feel all that restful anymore.

Maybe you replay small conversations on a loop, say “yes” when your body wants to say “no,” or feel flat during moments you hoped would feel good. It can be hard to reach out when everyone assumes you are fine.

High functioning symptoms often stack up quietly, and getting support sooner can save you from running on fumes.

I’m a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I work with adults and adolescents who are who are high achieving, deeply caring, and tired of holding it together on their own, and she helps them sort through what is going on and what kind of support will help.

Treatment can include therapy, medication, and holistic options, shaped around the person in front of her, not a one-size-fits-all plan.

You don’t have to wait until everything comes crashing down to ask for care.
