🗓️ Check out the changes to the school calendar

Families, please take note of changes made on the district calendar. Why the change? The state set the date for a special election after the school year started. And school buildings must, by state law, be available as polling sites for elections. This change allows us to promote student safety while prioritizing instructional time.

The dates are:
Tuesday, October 7, 2025 – Students do not report. Stockpiled Professional Development Day.
Friday, October 10, 2025 – Students and school-based staff do not report. Twelve-month staff report. Discretional Stockpiled Day.
Tuesday, December 2, 2025 – Students do not report. Stockpiled Professional Development Day.
Tuesday, January 6, 2026 – Students report to school. Regular school day (previously a Stockpiled Professional Development Day).

We ❤️🩵 Ms. Sosa-Ramírez!! Congratulations!! 👏🏼👏🏼

Our first for the 2025-26 school year features Glencliff Colts' Jocelyn Sosa Ramirez, who uses real-world relevance and personal relationships with students to teach math.

"I love working in Metro because I believe in the power of public education," Sosa Ramirez said. "I chose to work in a district that serves all students, especially those who might not have access to the resources they need elsewhere."
