Please welcome Dr. Christine Smith and Dr. Alexis Meyer to our practice! Both (yes, both!) were born and raised in northern California, earned their Bachelor’s degrees in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from U.C. Davis, and received their doctorate degrees from U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry. They are both trained in specialty contact lenses (multifocal, astigmatism, and myopia management), ocular disease management such as dry eye, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy, as well as surgical co-management for procedures including LASIK, cataract, and glaucoma surgery. Both are active members of the Middle Tennessee Optometric Physicians Society, the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians, and the American Optometric Association.
We are so excited they have joined Dr. Boerman (also a University of California alumnus!) at BEC earlier this year.
