Your nervous system learns through experience. That’s why simply telling yourself that you’re safe doesn’t always help you FEEL safe. Healing from trauma happens in small moments.

A slower breath. Feet firmly on the ground. A safe person beside you.

These moments might seem simple, but they’re not small to your nervous system. They are how it learns “I may not have been safe then, but I am safe now”.

If you are looking for a trauma informed therapist to support you through these changes, we are accepting new clients at

When your child’s behavior feels “off,” trust your instincts. 💛

Sudden mood changes, withdrawal, aggression, slipping grades, or unusual habits are often signs that something deeper may be going on. It’s not about blaming, it’s about understanding.

Early support can make all the difference. Creating a safe space for your child to talk, asking open-ended questions, and seeking professional guidance are powerful first steps.

You don’t have to navigate this alone.

Met someone new? Try these 6 dates BEFORE making things Official! ⬇️

Repost from

1. The “Real Conversation” Walk:

Go somewhere quiet and ask the questions people avoid:
“What do you want your life to look like in 5 years?”
“How do you show love?”
“How do you handle stress?”
You learn more in 45 minutes of honesty than 3 months of texting.

2. The Grocery-Store Date:

It sounds silly - but it reveals everything.
How they budget. What they eat. How they treat strangers.
The small things? They matter more than the pretty things.

3. The “Try Something New Together” Date:

Cooking class, pottery, beginner gym class, mini road trip.
You’ll see if they’re playful, patient, controlling, teachable, or easily frustrated.

4. The Work-Mode Date:

Sit in a café together for 1 hour and work on your own things.
You’ll see how their mind works.
Can they focus? Do they respect your space?
Are they supportive or distracting?

5. The Social Circle Date:

Meet one of their closest friends — not the whole group.
People can pretend, but their friends reveal the truth.

6. The Value-Check Date:

Visit a bookstore and pick a book for each other.
It shows what they notice about you... and whether they pay attention.

These dates reveal compatibility faster than words ever could.

Positive parenting isn’t about being perfect, it’s about being present. 💛

5 Principles of Positive Parenting:
1️⃣ Lead with love and connection
2️⃣ Set clear and consistent boundaries
3️⃣ Listen to understand, not just respond
4️⃣ Model the behavior you want to see
5️⃣ Discipline with guidance, not shame

Parenting is a journey and you don’t have to do it alone.

Did you know that Narcissism is a disorder and a form of abuse?

Repost from

Have you heard any of these?
If you have, at the very least, the person you heard them from is toxic.

Can you think of any others?

I teamed up with my friend Lee Hammock to bring awareness. This man took his diagnosis and built a platform that helps people heal.
