Kimmins Mortuary was grateful for the opportunity to attend the 59th Annual Georgia Funeral Service Practitioner Association Mortician Gala. An evening dedicated to excellence, service, and the timeless calling of our profession.

It was an honor to stand among so many dedicated colleagues as we celebrated this year’s honoree, Leon Harris, who was recognized as 2025 Mortician of the Year. His commitment to compassionate care, professionalism, and community service reflects the very best of what it means to serve families during life’s most tender moments.

Congratulations Leon on this well-earned recognition and thank you to the GFSPA for continuing to uplift, educate, and inspire those of us who serve with heart.

Sherrod Kimmins is the founder and director of Kimmins Mortuary Service, based in Nashville, Tennessee. With a deep commitment to professionalism, dignity, and compassion, Sherrod has built a reputation as a trusted leader in funeral service and mortuary operations across the Southeast.

Through Kimmins Mortuary, Sherrod has developed a multi-division business model that includes logistics, embalming, cold storage, and administrative services.
