The Story
Mamassage is the private practice of Kayleigh Gregg, Licensed Massage Therapist, and specializes in prenatal and postpartum bodywork. Located in the heart of Music City, Mamassage has been locally owned and operated since 2014. Kayleigh provides a safe and nurturing space for new and expectant mothers to receive the care and therapy they so desperately need...and deserve. Kayleigh Gregg, Licensed Massage Therapist since 2006, birthed the idea of starting a prenatal massage practice after working for several years at various spas, studios, and clinics here in Nashville. It opened her eyes to the lack of adequate massage care available to pregnant women. Not only is Kayleigh passionate about helping the people she considers the most important in the world—mothers—but she is committed to fighting the stigmas and myths that surround prenatal massage. "Not only can you receive massage while pregnant, but it is incredibly beneficial for you. One of the reasons I chose prenatal massage as my specialty was the list of benefits pregnant women receive with a massage. I often say that pregnant women need massage more than anyone else!" Here are some of the reasons women choose to make massage a regular part of their care: • Reduced back and hip pain • Reduced joint paint • Reduced sciatic nerve pain • Improved blood circulation • Improved lymphatic circulation • Reduced swelling • Reduced muscle tension • Fewer headaches • Hormone regulation • Reduced stress and anxiety • Improved sleep • Fewer instances of complications • Improved labor outcomes • Increased milk production • Improved lactation • Healthier newborns • Assists in recovery from pregnancy, childbirth, and c-section • Reduced instances of postpartum depression
