This is a slow, meditative, 60-minute practice designed to balance the fast-paced, dynamic energy of yang practices like power flow, which are often vigorous, heated, and focused on building strength and endurance. Yin yoga invites stillness, patience, and introspection.
What to expect:
Yin follows three main principles: finding your edge, committing to stillness, and allowing time for poses to work. The poses are held on the floor for longer periods of time (typically 3 to 5 minutes or more), allowing practitioners to relax their muscles and target the body’s deep connective tissues, such as fascia, ligaments, and joints. This approach encourages greater flexibility, mobility, and energetic flow.
Who's it for?
Anyone who wants a nice contrast to all those hot power flow classes!
Should I bring anything different?
Please bring your own bolster, blanket, and other props if you have them. Supplies at the studio are limited!
How much is class?
A $10 drop in like usual! All memberships and packages apply because why wouldn't they?!
