Check out a behind-the-scenes look at our new Chemo Prep Techs training within our new CPT Foundational Training Program!

Through our Education Services team in partnership with Nashville State, this program takes our CPTs through three weeks of classroom training to learn and demonstrate foundational competencies here at Tennessee Oncology. Having recently completed this step in their journey, theyโ€™re now on their way to our clinics to complete their orientation process.

This week weโ€™re excited to celebrate ๐†๐ข๐ง๐š ๐‡๐จ๐จ๐, the Operations Manager at our Nashville Midtown Womenโ€™s Health Center, on 20 years of service here at Tennessee Oncology! ๐ŸŽ‰

Gina shares, โ€œI have been with Tennessee Oncology for 20 years. In the beginning I was a patient services coordinator and loved helping the patients navigate their journey through chemotherapy. In the years following I have seen such amazing work being done behind the scenes making a difference in chemotherapies and proton therapy. I have been on both sides of the fence being an employee and a patient. While I was a patient, I was taken care of by my provider and staff with such caring, compassion, and empathy and I could not work for a better company than Tennessee Oncology. I look forward to more innovative years to come and cannot wait to see what is next!โ€

As we get set for the upcoming holiday weekend, a reminder that our clinics and locations will be ๐œ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฌ๐ž๐ on ๐Œ๐จ๐ง๐๐š๐ฒ, ๐Œ๐š๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“, to allow our teams to spend time with friends, family and loved ones on Memorial Day.

Tennessee Oncology is excited to introduce Ethan Encinias, the newest Medically Integrated Oncology Pharmacy (MIOP) resident with NCODA joining us this summer!

Ethan is one of three emerging pharmacy leaders across the country starting the MIOP Residency Program this summer, which begins a meaningful year of training in oncology pharmacy to support them as they learn, grow, and help advance patient-centered cancer care.
