It’s Dr. Mukundan. Most everyone who has been at our office over the last few months is aware, but I wanted to make sure that all are aware of some big changes that are happening at our office. At the end of June, Dr. Rauth will be leaving our practice and joining her family in Colorado. She will be starting with a practice there later this summer. I’m so thankful to have had the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Rauth for the last 19 years.
Her passion for pediatrics probably started as a young child observing her father, Dr. Mallard, who never misses an opportunity to teach. As her partner, I saw firsthand not only how she learned from her father, but also how she developed her own style of practice. I have been amazed by her ability to work at a pace faster than me and her fierce commitment to her patients. She has taught all of us to be better advocates for our patients. In the words of Dr. Mallard, she “is a star.”
We will all miss having Dr. Rauth at the office. I will especially miss her texting me pictures during her family vacations with Dr. Mallard so that I could have pranks ready for their return. I do hope that I will still get these.
Ultimately, we will be fine but will miss her dearly. I am excited about the unique opportunity that her family has to be together in the same state that her daughters attend college. For those who have not had a chance to say goodbye, her last day in the office will be June 27.
As we prepare for her departure, we welcome a new partner, Dr. Rachel Roberts. Dr. Roberts has been known to us since her residency at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. After completing her residency, she has been practicing in Nashville with Goodlettsville Pediatrics. She is the mother of three children and will be a great addition to our team. Dr. Roberts will be starting on July 1.
As we make the transition in July, I will be changing locations inside our office. Dr. Roberts will take over my current rooms (rooms 10-12) and I will be shifting to the other side of the office to the rooms formerly occupied by Dr. Rauth (rooms 1-3).
