Someone sent me this the other day, and I think it’s really important to note that they experienced a major change after a session that didn’t have an ‘ah-ha’ moment.
This is a common experience. People come in and hear the words “energy work,” and they expect, in some way, to transcend the physical body, or have a moment in the session that identifies and brings clarity to the pain that they are experiencing physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually.
There is a desire for a big experience. And there’s nothing wrong with an experience like that! It’s certainly possible, but it doesn’t mean that a session is not “working” for you if, during, you just feel really relaxed and don’t get any sort of messaging or downloads. And dare I say, sometimes the seduction of those bigger experiences can actually get in the way of healing.
Embodiment, and the embodiment of health, asks us to be present with what is. A SourcePoint Therapy session supports health and your unique expression of it. If we come in seeking a big experience, an ‘ah-ha’ moment, we can notice that we are seeking it, and be present with that. But it doesn’t mean that you won’t feel good or notice a major shift as your energy orients and organizes towards the pattern of health. Health is always there, and we can return to it again and again.
Want to connect? I help people to experience and strengthen their relationship with (and as) energy through integrative bodywork, group offerings, and workshops for a fuller expression of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Licensed massage therapist & SourcePoint Therapy teacher.
