At SMS Healthcare, our culture is shaped by the values we practice every day. This month, we’re highlighting two that make a meaningful impact on our teams and the patient environments we support: Hard Work and Humility.

Hard Work shows up in the commitment our teams bring to every shift. It includes arriving prepared, following safe and proper processes, helping teammates during busy moments, and taking pride in the quality of every space we maintain. Even when that effort goes unseen, it always matters.

Meet the Team: Charles "Phil” White 🤝

As Division Manager, Charles “Phil” White oversees operations across the North Central and Southern U.S., leading with a hands-on approach that keeps teams and customers supported every step of the way.

Phil joined SMS Healthcare in 2017 as a Facility Manager, overseeing more than half a million square feet of retail and office space. His dedication and leadership have earned him multiple promotions, including Divisional Operations Manager in 2022 and Division Manager in 2023.

A U.S. Air Force veteran, Phil brings the same discipline, teamwork, and service mindset to SMS Healthcare that he demonstrated during his military career.

⚡ November Safety Spotlight ⚡

This month’s safety focus is on Electrical Safety & Lock-Out/Tag-Out.

🔍 SEE IT
Electricity powers nearly everything we do, but it can also cause serious injury. Watch for hazards like exposed wires, overloaded circuits, wet conditions, and nearby power lines.

✋ OWN IT
Always inspect equipment before use and know your site’s Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures. Only authorized employees should apply locks or tags, and no one should ever remove someone else’s.

📋 FIX IT
If you notice damaged cords or faulty tools, stop using them and report the issue right away. Follow all electrical safety rules to help prevent shocks, burns, and fires.

Safety starts with you. Stay alert, follow procedures, and keep your facility safe.
