As a lifelong student of mental health and wellness, I am amazed at how far the field has come in reducing stigma around mental illness. Self care. The favorite word of the counseling and coaching fields when it comes to maintaining a balanced life. As cliche as it is, caring for oneself even means taking a break when you have a gazillion things left to do. Today is my self care day.
