I love this quote by Jay Shetty. 💗
Our lives often have the same emotional "tone" as the people we hang around.😬
Are the people in your life skilled at reducing drama? I don't mean they have to ignore what's happening (that's not healthy either). But the right people in your life can help you lift up 🏋your own tendencies to induce drama.
Be very careful if you are finding people in your life who increase the drama... 😨especially if that drama increases tension to the point of causing trauma.😵💫 That can be 'big T' Trauma (in which case you need help to stay safe... which is SO hard to do all by yourself) or even 'little t' trauma 🌨 which is just the emotional yuck we feel around people who are repeatedly negative, or who cause emotional upset on a regular basis. Those people are not healthy and are not good for you.
Take time to think about the people who are good for you. 🙌 And make sure you are BEING the kind of person who is good for others (not adding to the drama).🌅
In Module 1 of Happiness on Demand®, the values clarification exercises I teach are really helpful here. When you are hanging out with people not aligned to your values, there will most likely be drama and trauma. Knowing your values very clearly can help you stay aligned with a life path that works well for you.
What value of yours is not being honored right now? Honesty, Kindness, Curiosity, Creativity? How can you find support for it so that it can come back into balance?
Thank about the 5 closest people you spend time with. They will set the tone for your life! You can level up if you need to! 🥰
