Ascension Saint Thomas has received state approval to build a new, full-service hospital that will serve as the anchor of a growing, community-centered health system in Clarksville! The $148.5 million facility will be equipped with 44 inpatient beds, with the ability to expand to 132 beds.

The hospital and health campus will include:
✅ Emergency care, inpatient surgery, cardiology, women’s health, NICU and other specialties
✅ A new Emergency Medical Services facility
✅ Outpatient surgery, advanced imaging and other ambulatory and outpatient services to support seamless care coordination
✅ Two of Tennessee’s most respected physician groups, Tennessee Oncology and Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA), will be located at the development
✅ Creation of 250 new jobs

The hospital will help transform access to care across Clarksville, Montgomery County, and the surrounding region by reducing travel time, improving care coordination, and expanding services available close to home.

This initiative marks a critical investment in emergency response and healthcare infrastructure in one of Tennessee’s fastest-growing regions. The addition of a dedicated EMS facility will improve emergency response times, strengthen coordination during large-scale emergencies, and deliver lifesaving resources to residents and travelers along the I-24 corridor.

Montgomery County Government and Ascension Saint Thomas this morning announced a strategic public-private partnership to establish a new Emergency Medical Services facility at Exit 11 off Interstate 24, on the campus of the planned new hospital.
