four reminders for you today:
Check in with your body and listen to what it’s telling you. Our bodies are so wise and so very FOR us. Learning to listen with compassion is a gift to our mental health🤘🏻
Be gentle first with yourself if you wish to be gentle with others. Treat yourself with the same generosity and care and kindness and joy that you so freely give to others 🌞
Remember that the way you show up in your life and the lives of those around you makes a difference. (Shout out to my friend and colleague for these words she shared with me years ago on a tough day). Your voice has an impact. Your identity is sacred. You matter! 💥
You gotta NOURISH to FLOURISH. Believe me I tried the whole “running on empty while I care for everyone else’s needs and ignore my own sh*t” thing. It got me nowhere except burned out and disillusioned and resentful. Take care of your needs. Fill your cup often. What we water will grow 🌱
