✨ Celebrating Seven Years of Service ✨

Today, we proudly celebrate seven years of serving families with dignity, compassion, and unwavering commitment. Since our founding, Premier Funeral & Cremation Services has stood on one guiding principle: to walk with families through life’s most difficult moments with care, respect, and excellence.

Over the past seven years, we have been honored to:
• Provide personalized, meaningful services that reflect the lives and legacies of loved ones.
• Support families in their most tender moments with guidance, comfort, and professionalism.
• Serve our community with integrity while continuously enhancing the quality of care we provide.

To every family who has entrusted us with their loved one’s final arrangements—thank you. Your trust is the foundation of our work, and we remain committed to serving with compassion and distinction for years to come.

As we look toward the future, we reaffirm our promise to offer thoughtful pre-planning services, exceptional memorial experiences, and a steady presence for every family we serve.

Thank you for seven years of allowing us to be part of your journey.
We are humbled, grateful, and honored to continue serving this community with grace.

August is National Black Business Month!

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, proudly celebrates the power of Black-owned businesses and nonprofit organizations.

In 2019, under the leadership of our 26th National President, Beverly E. Smith, the Sorority launched the Delta Red Pages, our first-ever searchable online directory of soror-owned businesses and nonprofits.

Sorors, be sure to visit the Member Portal to explore this innovative, interactive tool that:
🔺 Showcases soror-owned businesses and nonprofits worldwide
🔺 Supports our Economic Development Thrust
🔺 Promotes generational wealth
🔺 Encourages us to uplift and support one another

Let’s continue to celebrate entrepreneurism and strengthen our sisterhood by supporting soror-owned enterprises this month and every month!

🌷 Honoring Mothers, Today and Always 🌷
This Mother’s Day, we pause to remember and celebrate the unconditional love, strength, and grace that mothers bring into our lives.
Whether you are honoring a mother who is still with you or cherishing the memory of one who has passed, know that love lives on in every heart she touched.

At Premier Funeral Services, we stand with you in remembrance, reflection, and gratitude.

💐 Wishing peace and comfort to all families this Mother's Day. 💐

First U.S. woman undertaker helped people flee slavery in coffins.

“In 1858, Henrietta Bowers Duterte shrugged off the customs of her time to become the first modern female undertaker in America. She lived to become one of Philadelphia’s most prosperous Black entrepreneurs, serving clients both Black and white. By her death at age 86, she owned multiple properties and took in $8,000 a year — well north of $200,000 today.”

For Women’s Crush Wednesday, we celebrate the incredible Rosetta Miller-Perry! Born in Coraopolis, PA, she proudly served in the United States Navy and was one of the first African American students to graduate from Memphis State University. She also made history as the first African American woman to graduate from John A. Gupton Mortuary College, earning dual licenses as a funeral director and embalmer.
Rosetta went on to attend Howard University Law School and worked with the United States Commission on Civil Rights before dedicating herself to journalism. In 1991, she founded The Tennessee Tribune, Nashville’s longest-running African American newspaper. Known as the “Queen Mother” of the Black Press, Rosetta’s contributions were honored with the National Publisher’s Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019. Her legacy continues to inspire and uplift the community!
