What is perfection anyway? Thank you for your beautiful book, and thank you, nature, for the ever present perfection you model for me.

“When you go out into the woods, and you look at trees, you see all these different trees. And some of them are bent, and some of them are straight, and some of them are evergreens, and some of them are whatever. And you look at the tree and you allow it. You see why it is the way it is. You sort of understand that it didn’t get enough light, and so it turned that way. And you don’t get all emotional about it. You just allow it. You appreciate the tree.

The minute you get near humans, you lose all that. And you are constantly saying ‘You are too this, or I’m too this.’ That judgment mind comes in. And so I practice turning people into trees. Which means appreciating them just the way they are.“ -One of my main dudes, ✨

Come be perfect with me April 26th, 9am! No gear required, just yourself and a few hours to forest bathe and refresh. 🌲✨💖

Choosing where we direct attention is a radical thing. Reclaiming and refreshing our brains from the onslaught of info processing might be how we float with sound mind on the waves of uncertainty.
Research shows moments spent in “soft fascination” (here I’m watching a parking lot tree branch blow in the wind) result in refreshed cognitive ability to focus. It doesn’t have to be fancy. Just look out the window.
I love to be silly and funny and play. But sometimes taking care of ourselves doesn’t look like laughter, or big movement, or even wonder. It doesn’t have to look cool or cute. Can you let yourself stare at a natural being today? Notice its movement and color and texture? Let your face relax. Stop the performance for a moment. Just be with the Earth. 💖🌲 You, too, are invited.

(Yes, that’s construction noise. Because humans are building in this landscape. It is what it is. My eyes can still see. 🙏🏽)

Take a moment for yourself, for the Earth, for each other. Join a guided forest bathing walk. The invitation to relax, slow down, and experience the research proven benefits* is there.
This is not therapy but a slow quiet sensory immersion into nature. Your guide offers invitations to help you connect with the environment through the senses. Shinrinyoku translates “Bathing in the atmosphere of the forest”… Come bathe in the sounds sights smells and imaginings of the land!

*reduction in depression, anxiety, aggression; increase in immune function, peacefulness, serotonin

Turning up the volume of the body turns down the volume of my mind. You can’t feel in the future or smell in the past. Your senses are always now.
Forest Therapy is a relational mindfulness practice. We’re slow and mindful of ourselves in relationship to the environment. If you’ve been looking for a way to slow down, refresh your brain, and have a moments peace, join me on the next Forest bathing walk! 🌲✨

Getting ready for a day inside as a . Therapists and even hold space for others, and our nervous system state can be important to the client experience. Here’s me balancing on each foot, a practice I learned from my energy medicine teacher long ago, and doing some bouncing my body wanted to do, a la . Sometimes when I feel tightness in my throat I add some audible exhales or even lions breaths. Presence->awareness-> intuition -> desire->action ->resolution! Like a river that needs to cut into a river bank, our bodies need to move too.
However you need to move on this Earth, in a building or in a forest, I invite you to do so today. 💖✨🏄🌲

Forest bathe your way to presence. You can’t watch a leaf blow in the past or a bee fly in the future. Forest bathing invites us into the now, into relationship with what is. Here we are. Now we are. Slow down and relearn how to tune in. No forcing, just flowing into and from the senses.
Walk dates are on the website! Next one in April!

The founder of ANFT and one of my beautiful soul trainers talk about forest therapy! Can’t wait to listen to this.

Maria Failla, host of , is completing her ANFT Forest Therapy Guide certification!
Years into houseplants, Maria saw the truth: plants aren’t decor, nature isn’t backdrop. Something real happens when we slow down.

So she invited ANFT founder Amos Clifford and master trainer Nadine Mazzola to unpack it. It was a wonderful conversation. Thank you, Maria.

Thoughts on , nature connection, and having a human body. What if our senses are what keeps us afloat and also anchored in the human experience? There’s so much to smell, feel, taste, hear, imagine. Sensing can’t be replicated. I remember guiding during Covid and someone had lost their sense of smell and wept about it. Let’s not take our senses for granted.
Join me March 28th and gain forest bathing tools to take home!

Coming into this work has felt like a lifetime(s) of winding path, leading to what feels so right. I adore my job. I’m right where I need to be. And I love walking with people towards where they need to be to feel joy, pain, elation, love, sorrow, all of it.
Love y’all and all the children within you! 💖
I feel more and more that what we can truly hold is living and connecting through our senses. The resistance to the tech tide. Let us always smell, taste, feel, imagine, cry, spit, throw, lie down, touch. Let’s touch grass together!
