Meet Nicole aka !! You're gonna see her name on the schedule for the Friday Feels Goods Power class at 4:30 while Nick is out on his 2 month adventure. When Nicole isn't attending Law School, she's teaching online classes, hosting workshops and in person classes! Over her 14 year yoga teaching career, Nicole has curated her own unique style & we are so stoked to bring it to the BZN community! Let's learn more about her!
1-Describe your very first yoga class.
I am lucky enough to have experienced my very first yoga class was when I was 8 years old :) My mom is a yogi and always did such a great job bringing me along anytime she could. While I don’t remember too much about that first class, I do remember wondering why everyone was breathing really weird lol. Little did I know those early classes would be so formative for my future self!
2- Name your 3 favorite songs of all time.
Omg this is actually an impossible question. But if I had to only pick 3 they would probably be( in no particular order) Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac
International Players Anthem by UGK
The Carter by Lil Wayne.
3- What advice would you give yourself 5 years ago?
Trust the process. You are right on time. And also just chill. It’s not that serious!
4- What small gesture from a stranger made a big impact on you?
In 2014 I had a house fire and unfortunately lost pretty much everything. The Nashville yoga community came together to raise money and help me get back on feet without me even having to ask. Witnessing such kindness and generosity from people I knew, but also from so many I had never even met, truly changed me! I am eternally grateful for how this community showed up for me. It’s a feeling I will never forget and I believe that experience taught me what it really means to “pay it forward”.
5- what makes you feel the most alive?
Sunshine, music festivals, traveling, loud rap music, any form of movement, connecting with and getting to know new people, my dogs, my sweet husband who always happens to be my best friend, a really cold glass of water, learning new things… so much more, but I’ll stop there :)
