OK folks, respiratory season is about to get busy, I think. We are starting to see COVID again; flu is on the rise, RSV is clearly out there, as well as a nasty gut bug with diarrhea and vomiting. If you feel sick, stay home--don't make the whole family and your friends sick too. That isn't a nice Christmas present to share with others.

RSV season is upon us soon. RSV can be very serious for newborns and the elderly. The new (as of last year) RSV vaccine is very effective, and lasts at least a few years. If you are 75 or older, or 60 and not so healthy, consider getting an RSV vaccine.

Pertussis (whooping cough) is on the rise. If you haven't had a Tdap tetanus and pertussis booster in the last several years, consider getting one soon.

Cases of whooping cough (pertussis) are increasing. The vaccine for whooping cough is contained in the same injection as a tetanus booster. So, for adults, make sure you have had a Tdap injection within the last ten years.
It is also time for annual flu shots as well as COVID boosters!
