As we age, balance can decline, and balance therapy can significantly reduce the risk of falls while increasing independence in your every day life. πŸ€Έβ€β™‚οΈ

πŸ— Our Physical Therapy balance programs are comprised of a variety of exercises designed to improve a patient's ability to maintain a stable posture and avoid falls. PT focuses on how the body processes information from the inner ear, eyes, and muscles to maintain balance.

πŸ€” What can you expect from a visit at Key Rehab for a Physical Therapy Balance Program?
Our Physical Therapists will assess a patient's balance, identifying specific movements or situations that cause difficulty while performing your normal, every day tasks. They also can provide education of ways to reduce hazards that can cause loss of balance in the home. Our balance programs are individualized to meet your specific needs and goals, and include personalized treatment sessions.

". . . I just wanted to praise your team. This dude has made HUGE progress just in the 2 weeks we have been with y'all! I have cried more tears of joy in the last few days than I have in a while. He has been using so many descriptive words, talking in full sentences, calming down to hear me our when told no, and overall just doing SO SO GOOD! . . . It has truly been so incredible to watch him this last week. Thank y'all for what y'all do!"

Have you ever heard of Container Baby Syndrome? πŸ€”

Container Baby Syndrome (CBS) is a blanket diagnosis for a variety of conditions that arise from too much time spent in container-like devices such as swings, bouncers, car seats, etc.

Too much time in a container can lead to problems down the line such as skull flattening, delayed motor skills (crawling, walking), decreased strength and coordination, and even decreased communication skills.

While we are not discouraging the use of these helpful items, we encourage you to be mindful of how much time baby is spending in these devices. We also wish to spread awareness regarding safe and beneficial ways to use these items.

Give us a call for any questions you may have regarding possible concerns of CBS or for further information on tummy time or device use.
