In 2025, the Women’s Resource Center of Natchitoches served 945 client visits—each one representing a woman, a child or a family who reached out for support, education and care.

These visits reflect pregnancy services, counseling, parenting education, material assistance and ongoing support for families in our community. Behind every number is a story, and we are deeply grateful.

Most importantly, we thank our clients for trusting us during some of life’s most vulnerable moments. It is an honor to walk alongside you with dignity, compassion and hope.

OB Scan Lab Volunteers Needed 💙
Northwestern State University’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program is looking for OB patient volunteers to help our Diagnostic Medical Sonography students gain hands-on experience! Enjoy a non-diagnostic obstetric ultrasound while helping future sonographers hone their skills.
What You'll Experience:
• A chance to watch a 2D ultrasound performed by students practicing protocols.
• Supervision by registered OB/GYN sonographers to ensure quality and guidance.
• Receive digital keepsakes of your baby—bring a flash drive for pictures!
• Feel free to bring a family member or friend to share this special moment.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Must have been seen by a licensed medical provider prior to participating.
2. Be between 18-36 weeks pregnant and have already completed a full anatomy scan with an OB/GYN physician.
3. Be available on Wednesday afternoons (1:00-3:00 PM).
4. Complete all required paperwork.

When to introduce foods, what to feed (and not feed), and how to establish safe, healthy eating habits.

🤍 Mom-to-Mom Support
A welcoming space for mothers to connect, share experiences and find encouragement through every stage of early motherhood.

🌿 Rooted & Rising is designed to equip parents with knowledge, confidence and community—because strong families start with strong support.

As we approach the end of the year, there is still time to make a meaningful impact for mothers, babies and families in our community.

The Women’s Resource Center is a designated Maternal Wellness Center, which means eligible donors may receive a Louisiana Maternal Wellness Center Tax Credit for contributions made by December 31. This credit allows donors to receive a percentage of their donation back as a state tax credit—making your generosity go even further.

Year-end gifts help us provide pregnancy support, parenting education, material assistance, counseling and care coordination for families walking through some of life’s most vulnerable seasons. Your donation directly strengthens the foundation of maternal and infant wellness in our community.

We are excited to launch Rooted & Rising, our new parenting education class series designed to support parents of newborns through 36 months.

Our first class, Cradled in Care, begins January 6 and focuses on Safe Bathing and Safe Sleep—providing essential, practical guidance to help parents create safe, healthy routines for their babies from the very start.

🌱 Rooted & Rising will include a series of classes that build on these foundational skills as children grow, offering encouragement, education and support every step of the way.

As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, we are reminded of the profound gift God gave the world through a baby—bringing hope, light and redemption to all. Because of our love for Jesus, we are honored to serve mothers, babies and families in our community with compassion, dignity and care.
