Contract Physical Therapy (PT) and/or Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Outpatient Orthopedics
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Physical Therapist (PT) and/or Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient orthopedic clinic on a contract/PRN basis. This position is ideal for a PT or PTA with outpatient experience who values hands-on care, clinical progression, and a team-oriented environment.
Position Overview:
· Contract or PRN role with flexible scheduling
· Outpatient orthopedic population

Key Responsibilities: PT
-Evaluate patients and develop individualized plans of care based on clinical findings and functional goals
-Deliver high-quality, evidence-based treatment for a variety of orthopedic conditions
-Progress and modify treatment plans based on patient response and outcomes
-Provide hands-on manual therapy, therapeutic exercise prescription, and appropriate modalities
-Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and long-term wellness strategies
-Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
-Supervise and collaborate with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and support staff
-Communicate effectively with physicians, referral sources, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
Qualifications:
-Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program
-Active (or eligible) Physical Therapist license in Louisiana
-Minimum of 1 year of outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
-Strong clinical reasoning and differential diagnosis skills
-Excellent communication and patient-centered care approach
-Ability to manage a dynamic caseload efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience:
-Post-operative rehabilitation (e.g., total joint replacements, ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff
repair)
-Experience with EMR systems such as WebPT
Manual therapy training or certifications
Key Responsibilities: PTA
· Deliver high-quality, individualized patient care under the direction of a Physical Therapist
· Carry out and progress treatment plans for a variety of orthopedic diagnoses
· Guide patients through therapeutic exercise programs with proper technique and progression
· Apply manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities as appropriate
· Maintain accurate and timely documentation
· Collaborate effectively with the supervising PT and clinical team
Qualifications:
· Graduate of an accredited PTA program
· Active (or eligible) Louisiana PTA license
· At least 1 year of outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
· Strong clinical reasoning and exercise progression skills
· Excellent communication and patient engagement abilities
· Ability to manage a dynamic caseload efficiently
Preferred Experience:
· Post-operative rehabilitation (e.g., total joint replacements, ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repairs)
· Experience with EMR systems such as WebPT
· Strong focus on patient education and functional outcomes
