👨‍⚕️ Physician Spotlight: Dr. Theodore Knatt, Orthopedic Surgeon 🩺

A proud Louisiana native, Dr. Knatt grew up in Loreauville, where his love for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors first sparked his interest in science and biology. With a father in construction, he spent much of his early years learning how to build and fix things — hands-on experiences that eventually shaped his path to orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Knatt played football in college and went on to compete as a semi-professional athlete, so it’s no surprise that orthopedics became a natural fit. He has provided sports medicine care for both collegiate and professional athletes and finds it deeply rewarding — not only helping them return to peak performance but also mentoring them as they navigate life beyond sports.

Now at NRMC, Dr. Knatt is especially excited to support NSU athletics and work closely with student-athletes. His passion for mentorship and guiding young people toward healthy, purpose-driven lives is a cornerstone of his practice.

In addition to sports medicine, Dr. Knatt is equally committed to helping the older generation manage arthritis and other degenerative conditions. He believes strongly in the power of prevention — encouraging all his patients to prioritize proper nutrition, stretching, and overall wellness to maintain an active lifestyle.

🦴 Could it be more than just pain?
Bone cancer is rare, but knowing the signs can save lives.

👉 Common symptoms include:
• Persistent pain that worsens at night or with movement
• Swelling or a lump near the affected bone
• Sudden, severe pain from a fracture
• Numbness or tingling (if the spine is involved)
• Unexplained weight loss or fatigue

These symptoms can be caused by other conditions, but if they persist or worsen, don’t ignore them. Early diagnosis matters. 💪

A rising country music artist and LSU student, Timothy Wayne is quickly carving out a name for himself in the country music scene.

This singer-songwriter blends a love for history with the influence of legends—drawing inspiration from traditional icons like Waylon Jennings, George Strait, and Randy Travis, to modern stars like Dierks Bentley and his biggest inspiration, Tim McGraw.

Originally from Franklin, Tennessee, Wayne is now in his senior year in Baton Rouge—and already making waves in the country music world. He recently signed his first major record deal with Capitol Records Nashville (UMG), and his debut singles, “Guy With a Guitar” and “God Made a Country Boy,” are already turning heads and earning national attention.
