The barbell clean and other similar Olympic lifts are incredibly powerful tools for helping athletes develop strength and explosive power that will translate into their sport!
Youth athletes benefit in additional ways that help build athletic foundations besides just strength/power when using Olympic lifts such as:
- Dynamic core stability (learning to brace and control torso through loaded movement)
- Coordination Development (learning to use the upper and lower halves of the body in sync)
- Acceleration and deceleration of forces
