I’ve never looked forward to a working out so much in my life, as today. It’s been a long three days at work. So tired I come home and go to bed. No energy to even walk. So thankful for this day off and to get back at my routine again 🙌🏼

What I ate Wednesday. Trying to get more plants and protein in. Protein over night oats, big ass salad lunch, snack builtbar and string cheese, dinner Mac and cheese with peas. Dessert was rice cakes and peanut butter. 150g protein

Day 3 of new routine. Caroline Girvan has a new app. CGX. New programs - Beginner and Beastmode. I’m on Day 3 of Beastmode. So good to have a new program to challenge myself with. Lifting heavy, progressive overload, and clean eating with macros and protein. So I can’t wait to see what I can build over the next 10 weeks and 50 workouts. Awesome group of people doing this together over at Caroline Girvan Community ❤️

8 years ago I thought I needed as much cardio as I could do. Then multiple workouts a day (p90x3 and 21 day fix each day) also training for a 1/2 marathon and not eating enough. Now I do workouts since 2021. I lift heavy weights, focus on form and walk daily hitting a minimum 10k steps along with a weight training program. I have recently added HIIT CARDIO with my spin bike 2/3 days a week on my days off work. Since I’m now 50 my workouts needed to change to support my needs. What worked a few years ago doesn’t work now. The goal now just to be strong and age slower remaining healthy, active, and strong. Just because your “older” doesn’t mean you can’t have muscle and be lean. I train smarter not harder. I also focus on a Whole Foods clean eating approach which I thrive on. I know what I can eat and focus on protein and stable blood sugar balance. I work full time and go to school, I just make my health a priority. I have suffered from anxiety, depression, and eating disorders my whole life. Food is medicine. I’m finally feeling like my best self. It’s taken me a long time to get here.❤️

Day 1- Day 60. HR 3.0 12 WEEK program is done. One week off to rest up and do light workouts and I’ll start a new lifting program first week of April. Time to build more muscle. Nursing a knee is injury since fall, finally get into a dr this week to see what is wrong. Been taking it easy and listening to my body. Heather Robertson's Official Health + Fitness Forum YouTube channel has great workouts for at home
