So very true. I heard the words, “if it was so bad, why did you stay?”

Fact is, we are often taught in childhood what love looks like, what it feels like, and if we didn’t have a stable home, we likely won’t choose stable relationships. We choose what resembles our childhood and the expectations that were set at a very young age…. This mindset isn’t our fault. But, that’s why we stay…

With that said, it is possible to reset your standards and heal. My book, Rise from the Ashes is loaded with ways to heal yourself and retrain your mindset so you won’t settle for toxic again.
