Meet Patricia. Patricia fell at home and twisted both her feet. She couldn't stand or walk. The hospital presented her with three different rehabilitation facilities. One of them she had been to in the past and did not have a good experience. She decided to give Glendale a go! When Patricia first arrived at Glendale Center, she could barely walk a couple of steps. Just a few weeks later and with a lot of hard work with her physical therapists, she has made great improvement in getting back to her independent self. We are happy to report that Patricia went back home yesterday. Congratulations Patricia!

Meet Rocco. Rocco is 90 years old! Rocco recently fell at home and broke his hip. After his hospital stay, Rocco was asked to choose a rehabilitation facility. Rocco chose Glendale Center for his rehabilitation and treatment because a family member was a patient in the past and it was a positive experience for the whole family. When Rocco first arrived at Glendale Center, he was not able to walk. After approximately 6 weeks of rehabilitation and a lot of hard work, Rocco is now able to walk on his own with a walker. We are happy to report that Rocco was discharged to home last week. Congratulations Rocco!

Meet Barbara. Barbara was having some confusion and wasn't feeling herself at home. She went to Saint Mary’s Hospital where she found out she had an infection. When Barbara needed to choose a rehabilitation facility, she knew where she wanted to go, Glendale Center! Barbara had been to Glendale Center in the past, so it was an easy decision. When Barbara was first admitted to Glendale Center, she needed assistance with walking and could not navigate stairs. After eight days of rehabilitation and a lot of hard work, we are happy to report that Barbara was discharged to home. Congratulations Barbara and keep up the good work!

Meet Josephine. Josephine felt weak and dizzy at home. To avoid a fall, she called 911 and was sent to Saint Mary's Hospital. Josephine suffers from COPD. Josephine was transferred to Glendale Center for rehabilitation. She chose Glendale Center because she would visit a loved one during their previous stay and she knew Glendale was for her. When she first arrived, she was still quite weak and needed assistance with walking and her activities of daily living. After just two short weeks, and a lot of persistence, Josephine is walking on her own and can manage her daily routine again. Josephine is looking forward to going home next week. Congratulations Josephine!

Meet Angelina. Angelina is 80 years old and lived at home with her husband until she fell at home and broke her hip. When asked by the hospital which rehabilitation facility she wanted to go to, Glendale Center was an easy choice. A family member had stayed at Glendale previously and she knew what kind of care she would receive. She says, “I love my big private room and the therapy team is so motivating!” Angelina is making great progress with her therapy and is looking forward to getting back home to her husband real soon. Keep up the hard work Angelina – you will be back home in no time!
