Meet our October Employee of the Month… Julie!

Julie works in our activities department and has been a part of our team for two months. She loves making crafts with our residents and getting to know them better. Before joining our team, Julie worked as a photographer. In her free time, she likes to hike with her husband, spend time with her nieces and nephews, and play with her three very spoiled pit bulls!

We’re so thankful to have Julie on our team and can’t wait to see what her future has in store! 💙

Our staff had a good time celebrating National Coffee Day this week! Our barista passed out iced coffee to our staff, with each cup featuring a positive affirmation. What better way to say “Thank You” to our hard-working team than with an iced coffee! ☕

Our residents are having a lot of fun getting into the fall spirit! Last week, they decorated pumpkins that were then distributed throughout the facility, adding a warm and festive touch to our halls. 🎃

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 🎗️

This month, we stand united in support of survivors, those currently in the fight, and the families walking alongside them. Together, we can spread hope, strength, and awareness. 💖

Recently, our staff has been participating in a “Where’s Waldo?” hunt! Our staff is on high alert trying to locate Waldo in different nooks and crannies. Once he is found, the employees turn him into proper authorities for a prize. Waldo is on the loose again, waiting for the next team member to find him!

Yesterday we celebrated National Coffee Day by giving back to our community heroes! Our team delivered Dunkin’ Donuts coffee and donuts to the Erie Fire Department, Navarre Police Department, and Aultman Hospital. We hope this little boost of energy helped brighten their day and showed just how much we appreciate all they do! ☕

Meet our September Employee of the Month… Sandy!

Sandy is a CNA and has been a part of our Altercare team for 16 years. Sandy always shows up ready to work and is dedicated to her residents. Sandy has two sons and nine grandchildren that she loves spending time with! In her free time, she enjoys cookouts with family and decorating for Halloween.

Thank you, Sandy, for your hard work and dedication to our residents. Your hard work does not go unnoticed! 💙

Recently, our residents, along with their families, enjoyed soaking up some sun as classic cars rolled through our parking lot. Each car stopped for our residents and shared stories about their cars. It was a hit amongst all, and everyone loved seeing the cars up close!

At Altercare Louisville, we are grateful for our outstanding Environmental Services team; Jake, Susan, Megan, Sam, Connie, and Sharon. Your dedication keeps our facility clean, comfortable, and welcoming for our residents each day.

Last week, our residents made an adorable turtle craft. While making this craft, we researched these cute reptiles and discovered that turtles are considered spiritual messengers, bringing wisdom to those that encounter them. This was such a fun craft and they all turned out adorable. 🐢

Summer isn’t over here at Altercare Navarre! Yesterday, the sun was out, so the residents took an afternoon stroll to Kremeland, a local diner, for ice cream. Everyone shared stories and had plenty of laughs while they listed to some 1950’s music. This was such a fun outing for the residents! 🍦
