Living with PTSD is tough. Simple things are just not that simple! For example...you try to smile, but ends up looking like this... You try not to frown, so you just hope to pull off pensive. The whole time, this is how you really feel!! You want to hang out with friends, but when you do, you end up isolating yourself, again. You have an entire network of support that lives far away, tries to "fix" it, you don't want to bother, does not understand, is not supportive, or they completely disappear. So you try to be the support for others. You give, and give, and give , and give, and give, and give, until you are completely exhaused and can't get out of bed. Then one day, when you are done and ready for change you call and get an appointment at AIM Behavioral Health.
