Breakfast of champions!! 😂 Having coffee, leaves, and a lemon with Jesus and my chickens! My coffee has collagen peptides and colostrum powder, and I’m chewing on dandelion, muscadine grape, and wild lettuce leaves and savoring every delicious bite of this lemon date bar while enjoying my fire burn up dead brush and branches and being reminded to let God prune all the dead stuff out of your life and rejoice as you watch it burn!! You gotta make room for the new he’s got on the way! Seek him on that for your life and while you’re at it, do some research on the leaves and “weeds” you have growing around you. I made English muffins this morning for the first time. I used organic stoneground whole wheat flour and white whole wheat flour, so I soaked it in whey from my homemade cream cheese all evening and all last night.

As expected with whole wheat, they are denser than regular English muffins, but the flavor is wonderful and my house smelled amazing! I’ll do a couple of things different to improve the next batch, but I’m really pleased with how they turned out, especially for my first go at making them.

I enjoyed one with, butter, cream cheese, and fruit spread, and later on, I had one with butter, egg, and cheese. Both were delicious! 🙌🥳😋

Happy Saturday!! I’m in my “foraging in my yard for God’s medicine” era! I’m learning so much about what God has provided for free all around us to support our health. I’m making teas, infused oils, and eating leaves and plant greens raw and in salads. It’s quite exhilarating! My tea this morning has cleavers, spiny leaf sow thistle, lambs quarters, and henbit. It’s topped off with some beautiful wild violets. The tea is so pleasant and refreshing that I don’t even need to sweeten it, and the happy little flowers add a healthy dose of cheer. They’re edible too, so when the tea is gone I’ll eat them. I encourage you to look up the health benefits of these plants and start learning about what’s growing all around you too!!
