Working outside in the summer heat 🥵? It’s critical that you stay hydrated to reduce your risk of dangerous heat-related illnesses. Follow OSHA’s guidelines:
For shorter jobs (less than two hours), drink one 8-ounce cup of water every 20 minutes.
For longer jobs (more than two hours), drink cool water and drinks that contain electrolytes, such as sports drinks. These will help you replace some of your body’s natural salts and electrolytes that you lose when you sweat.
