We’re proud to partner with Northampton Community College to support the next generation of CNAs—and just as proud of the experience they receive while they’re here! 💙

During their clinical rotations, students have the opportunity to learn in a supportive, team-focused environment where they can build confidence, develop their skills, and form meaningful connections with residents.

We’ve been so encouraged by the positive feedback from students who shared how welcomed they felt by our team, how much they valued the hands-on experience, and how impactful it was to be part of a community that truly puts people first.

Please join us in celebrating Hope Moore, our May Team Member of the Month! 🎉

Hope has been a valued member of our housekeeping team since September 2022, and she brings so much positivity to our community each day. Known for her friendly personality and genuine care for others, Hope goes above and beyond to foster a warm, supportive environment where residents feel at home. Whether she’s lending a hand, sharing a smile, or taking time to connect, her kindness truly shines through.

A Lehigh Valley native, Hope was born in Bethlehem and is a proud graduate of Nazareth High School. She was raised on a dairy farm alongside her three sisters—an experience that helped shape her strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset.

Outside of work, Hope enjoys sewing and crafting, heading to the track for dirt modified racing with her husband, relaxing beach trips, and weekend road trips. She’s also a proud cat mom to Honey and Whiskers

Hope, thank you for everything you do to make our community such a special place. We’re so lucky to have you on our team!

Take Your Child to Work Day was a hit! 🎉

We had another amazing day welcoming the next generation to experience what makes our community so special. From exploring our campus, connecting with team members and residents, and even joining in on cardio drumming, to working together on ideas to make our community even better—there was no shortage of creativity and teamwork!

The fun didn’t stop there—between friendly competition at Heritage Village, creative projects, cracking clues in an escape room, and a few sweet treats, there was something for everyone!

It’s always such a meaningful experience giving our team members’ family members a glimpse into the important work they do each day and the difference they make. 💙

April is National Volunteer Month, and this week we had the joy of celebrating the Morningstar Living volunteers who give so generously of their time and talents. Our Volunteer Luncheon brought everyone together in gratitude and joy — a beautiful reminder of how much stronger, kinder, and more connected our community is because of them.
From friendly visits and helping hands to shared skills, quiet acts of service, and moments of encouragement, our volunteers make a meaningful difference every single day. Today’s celebration was our chance to pause, reflect, and say thank you for the heart you bring to everything you do. We are truly grateful for each of you — this month and always.

This week we celebrated the retirement of Martha Vaughn, who has been part of the Morningstar Living family for an incredible 29 years. As a CNA, Martha cared for residents with compassion, dedication, and a heart that made a lasting impact. She often says she “grew up here,” surrounded by a family of co workers who have supported one another through every season.
Martha’s own family joined residents and team members for the celebration where Executive Director, Sue Capobianco, presenter her with a Moravian Star in honor of her years of devoted service.
Thank you, Martha, for the love, commitment, and light you’ve shared with our community. Your Morningstar Living family wishes you all the joy, rest, and new adventures that retirement brings.

Wendy brings over 10 years of caregiving and behavioral health experience and has a true passion for working with our dementia residents. She values building connections and is excited to continue growing her career—hoping to pursue her LPN in the future.

Outside of work, Wendy enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, reading, and even caring for stray cats—reflecting the same compassion she brings to our community every day.

Morningstar Living was pleased to host the LeadingAge PA Legislative Breakfast at our Heritage Village campus in Nazareth.
Regional legislators, community partners, and senior living leaders came together for meaningful conversation about the issues shaping the future of aging services in Pennsylvania.
We’re grateful for the thoughtful dialogue around the needs and priorities of older adults and the essential services we provide. Engaging directly with elected officials strengthens our collective voice in statewide advocacy and helps ensure that the experiences of those who serve older adults every day are heard.

⚾🍦 Opening Day = Team Appreciation Win! 🍦⚾

In celebration of MLB Opening Day, we hit a home run with a sweet treat for our incredible team members!

We served up ice cream with all the toppings—complete with baseball hats to make it extra fun and festive. From sprinkles to syrup, everyone got to build their perfect sundae and enjoy a well-deserved moment of appreciation.

This was a fun way for us to show our appreciation for our incredible team. Thank you for the care, compassion, and dedication you bring every day—it truly makes a difference. 💙
