We recently celebrated the 5th Anniversary of the Morningstar Memory Café by Senior Solutions — the longest-running free Memory Café in the Lehigh Valley! Regular participants, volunteers, staff, and special guests gathered to mark this meaningful milestone.
Held twice monthly at Advent Moravian Church, the Memory Café has become a cherished resource for those living with memory loss and their care partners across the Greater Lehigh Valley. Participants from hundreds of households throughout the area have enjoyed the fellowship and support the Memory Café offers through programs, outings, educational seminars, music, wellness activities and fun. The celebration was a time to reflect on the past five years, and the friendships formed.

These future healthcare heroes are gaining hands-on experience while making meaningful connections with our residents. This week our Culinary Team participated in a hands-on Culinary Skills Fair. This interactive event helps team members sharpen essential skills—from safe food handling to infection control to safety readiness, and lots more—ensuring a safe, high-quality dining experience for all. It's just one of the ways we support our staff and enhance the care we provide to residents.

We were thrilled to have a visit from the Sweet Scoops Ice Cream Truck to treat our incredible team to a well-deserved break and a cool summer treat!

This was just one small way to say thank you for the heart, dedication, and care our team members pour into their work every single day. We are so grateful for everything you do and the difference you make in the lives of those we serve.

We are proud to recognize Beata Jakubowska as our July Team Member of the Month!

Originally from Poland, Beata made her way to Pennsylvania from New York in 2018 with her husband and their two children, and joined the Morningstar Living family in 2019. Since then, she’s become a beloved part of our Residential Living team. Her warmth, kindness, and attention to detail shine through in everything she does—and her love for both her work and the residents she serves is truly inspiring.

Outside of work, Beata spends time caring for her mother, who lives with dementia. She also is a trained seamstress and talented gardener who enjoys tending to her flowers and vegetables.

Thank you, Beata, for your heart, your hard work, and the joy you bring to MSL every day!
