Had a great time at a continuing education class on pin and stretch with Jim Earley! It is a technique focused on muscle release, improving mobility, and supporting muscle function. I snapped a couple photos of him in action and some of my fellow grads from Northampton Community College’s massage therapy program!

Some things I enjoy about continuing education classes - comfy clothes, hands-on learning, and everyone getting to receive some bodywork. I definitely need to practice the technique more, but I can already see how useful it will be to incorporate into sessions.

It’s always a boost to keep learning and connecting with the massage therapy community!

Hey everyone!

Massage sessions are a great way to take a break from everything going on in the world. I don’t get them as often as I’d like, but cupping is my go-to in between sessions - and it works wonders!

Did some static cupping while waiting for spackling to dry (yes, multitasking 🙃). I cupped my upper body differently on each side:

Right side: aching in my forearm and a tight/pulling feeling along the back of my arm and rotator cuff.

Left side: Tighter neck muscles, less shoulder ROM, headaches, clogged sinuses, and a feeling like the fascia on this side of my face is being pulled downward.

On the left, I focused more on pecs, under the collarbone, and behind the SCM—avoiding arteries and veins, of course. Only 5–6 minutes per cup (or less), no pain, and just a few marks. Feeling great!

Sessions are already priced to reflect the preparation and care that go into each one, (as well as business expenses!) so I don’t have any big sales right now - but your body will thank you anyway!

One small update: we’ve switched almost entirely to 100% cotton linens instead of microfiber- more sustainable 🌱.

Can’t remember the last time I got a massage and Manny’s massage must’ve been what brought out the sun this afternoon! If you are close to Allentown - or even if you’re not- it’s worth the trip to see him!! He is very skilled, intuitive, and professional. The space is super relaxing, too.
