Hear, you’re family.

Growing up in a household that emphasized the importance of hearing health was an interesting experience. I remember many dinner table discussions that revolved around the newest hearing technology, wax management (I know, who talks about ear wax at dinner - gross), but most importantly, treating patients like they’re family...because they are.

Dr. Gregory Delfino, CCC-A and my mother, Cheryl Delfino, B.A. - HIS founded Audiology Services in 1998. Our first office was in our home. I remember being 7 years old and my parents reminding my sister and I that we had to be quiet for the evening because they had patients. I remember sitting on the steps outside of the office door listening to what my parents and their patients were talking about. At that age I had no idea what overall output was or what frequencies were. However, I remember it was during these times that I wanted to be like my parents - I wanted to help people.

When my family first started our private practice my father was commuting 4 hours per day to work. While he was commuting to major medical centers in New Jersey, my mother would service patients at the office. I grew up seeing my parents put in long hours to ensure that their patients were satisfied.

Fast forward to June 26, 2017 (this is the date of my first day at the practice full time), I am honored to say that I work full time at Audiology Services. I am blessed with the opportunity to continue to learn from my mother and father who founded a private practice that has been servicing the Lehigh Valley for over 20 years. I have the opportunity to marry my knowledge of speech-language pathology and audio engineering/music to help our patients communicate with their loved ones. Our practice wouldn’t be the same without our office manager, Autumn Deiter. When you call the office the first team member you will speak to is Autumn. Our patients are always impressed with her knowledge of the evaluation process, as well as the hearing technology that is available!
