I’ve been picking raspberries all week, it seems the peak of summer has come quickly and oh so gorgeously. Seriously one of the most soothing activities, picking raspberries. Nothing makes me feel more grounded, joyful, still, content, then being in nature. Slow, basic, nature oriented tasks…especially when I’m with my little (and not so little) loves.

Greek yogurt and backyard raspberries for the win!

I hope you’re out there feeling the warmth, joy, and feeling of expansiveness, that summer has to offer too.

Eileen Teller Dipl.Ac., L.Ac., M.Ac.

The heartfelt connection I bring to my training is that as a native to these Nederland Colorado Rocky Mountains, I am first and foremost, a lover of nature and the inherent wisdom it provides. With a Bachelors of Anthropology at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO in 2004, understanding human nature and culture remains a passion that guides me as a service provider. For ten years, I served as both Director and Educator for Early Childhood Educational Programs. While working with children and families, my interest grew to be of assistance at the deepest level of our human experience. I trained in a medicine that can heal and transform our foundation of body, mind and spirit like no other, Classical Five-Element Acupuncture (CF-EA); which brings us to our strongest and truest selves.

Having a history of a challenging and debilitating health condition, this path is also personal for me. Beyond physical relief, acupuncture provides a profound feeling of finally being at home, authentically. For myself and the community I serve, I find that life is a quest for health, harmony, and security in being ourselves, just as we are. In gratitude, I am committed to assisting others on their own paths of wellness, to uncover the deeply rooted beauty in this experience of being human!

I am classically-trained by the Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture (ITEA) in Louisville, CO as an Acupuncturist, Licensed in the state of Colorado, and board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). I am also, certified in Clean Needle Technique.

PRACTITIONER SPOTLIGHT:

Amanda Brown CAMT, LMT

Upon graduation, a total of 670 hours of massage education was completed. This consists of 520 hours of classroom instruction and supervised practicum and 150 hours of clinical internship. After completing the training program in New Mexico, Amanda received extensive training in
Myofascial Release from Gary Harvell MT, MTI.

In 2001 Progressive Release Myotherapy was
founded in beautiful Boulder, Colorado.
After many years of practicing Myofascial massage, Amanda has continued her education of the body and it’s systems. In 2007 she received her certification in CranioSacral Therapy. And in 2017
Amanda became certified in Advanced Myofascial technique with instructor Til Luchau.

In her several years of practice, Amanda has
become known, respected and requested for her healing touch. She combines several techniques to achieve her special style of Healing Massage including but not limited to myofascial release, myoskeletal alignment techniques, trigger point work, sports massage and visceral massage, while also promoting stress reduction, relaxation and resetting the central nervous system.

She tries to create change by focusing on each client’s particular issues and working together with them to discover how each issue connects with and impacts the rest of the body. Amanda’s intuitive sense of the body is informed by her longtime massage and yoga practice and her ventures in to nature. She has found that the body is a powerful teacher, capable of providing insight if we are willing to listen.
