What a beautiful day in the Neighborhood!

A heartfelt thank you to The Nature Connection for visiting our community today and sharing the wonder of the ocean with our residents. We’re so grateful to Program Coordinator Carol Hani, and team members Mallory and Ava, for bringing such joy and curiosity into our space.

From a vibrant display of shells, coral, and sea stars to the calming scents of summer herbs and flowers, our residents had the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in a hands-on sensory journey through the ocean. The visit from Tolstoy the Russian Tortoise and a few hermit crab friends made it all the more magical.

A special thank you as well to our very own Bridget Sonnier-Hillis, Programming Assistant, for taking time out of her day to assist and connect so thoughtfully with everyone.

These moments of connection, learning, and joy are what make our community shine.

This category honors a department leader or supervisor who demonstrates exceptional communication, team-building, and resident-centered care. Nina, our Lead Concierge, has spent the past 17 years making everyone who walks through our doors feel seen, supported, and truly at home. Her warmth and leadership are the heart of our community.

Sales & Marketing Nominee – Nancy Andrie
This award recognizes a sales or marketing professional who builds trust through creativity and meaningful connection. Nancy, our Community Outreach Director, doesn’t just represent Wingate—she lives it. Her ability to connect with residents, families, and partners makes our community stronger every day.

Life Enrichment Nominee – Allie Kaufman
This category celebrates a team member who brings joy, purpose, and connection through thoughtful programming. Allie, our Programming Assistant, infuses every day with creativity, compassion, and care, making sure residents feel engaged, valued, and uplifted.

Dining Services Nominee – Kevin Jenkins
This award honors a team member who goes above and beyond to provide delicious, high-quality meals and personalized service. Kevin, our Dining Room Director, ensures that every dining experience is filled with warmth, hospitality, and a touch of home.

What an incredible time we had at our festive Kick Start to July 4th and Summer Party in the Neighborhood! Residents, staff, families, and even the kiddos came together for an afternoon full of laughter, connection, and summer joy.

We indulged in delicious treats, watched Mz. Donna wow us with her balloon artistry, and were amazed by the whimsical creations from Caricature Artist Sue Festa. The party came alive with the music and energy of the one and only Steve Lyon, who had everyone tapping their feet and smiling ear to ear!

The energy was absolutely contagious, and it was so heartwarming to celebrate the spirit of our Neighborhood community alongside our amazing residents and their loved ones.

Today, music, love, and unity were in full force at Wingate Residences at Needham! Residents and staff came together for a vibrant, joy-filled Pride celebration led by Neighborhood Director—aka DJ Jose—who kept the dance floor alive with energy and heart.

All the colors of the rainbow filled the air as we celebrated with delicious treats, trivia, laughter, and plenty of dancing. The spirit of inclusivity and togetherness was felt in every smile, every song, and every shared moment.

We are so lucky to be part of a community that celebrates everyone for who they are. Here's to love, joy, and continuing to make memories—together! 🌈❤️

We couldn’t contain all our gratitude in just one week—so we extended CNA Week to make sure our incredible caregivers got all the love they deserve!

Today, we officially wrapped up the celebration by rolling out the red carpet and showering our CNAs with applause, roses, and appreciation.

To our compassionate, hardworking, and devoted CNAs: thank you for being the heart of our community. Your care, kindness, and dedication shine every single day—and we are endlessly grateful for you.

Happy CNA Week to Our Wingate Residences at Needham Team!

This year’s theme, “We Are the Champions,” couldn’t be more fitting. Our incredible CNAs are the heart of our community—showing up each day with compassion, strength, and dedication that truly makes a difference.

To celebrate their hard work, we kicked off the week with an ice cream sundae bar and beautiful flowers to show just a bit of the appreciation they deserve. And the celebration doesn’t stop there! Next week, we’ll be rolling out the red carpet for a special event in their honor, followed by a delicious Haitian cuisine lunch that’s sure to delight the senses and honor the culture of many on our team.
