👋 Meet Bert and Sally. A ride in Bert’s brother’s car sparked a love story that’s spanned 57 years, six continents, and countless adventures. From safaris in Kenya to exploring Machu Picchu, Bert and Sally have embraced the world with curiosity and joy.

Beyond travel, they’ve dedicated themselves to careers in finance, philanthropy, art, and volunteerism. Now thriving at North Hill, they continue to share their talents: Sally with art and library committees, Bert bringing engaging lectures and leadership to the community.

With gracious spirits and their friendly Schnauzer, Fritz, the Danes remind us that life’s journey is richer when shared — and when curiosity never fades. ❤

Our Story

In 1984, North Hill began a tradition of innovative leadership in Massachusetts, providing exceptional living options, programs and services to people age 65 and better. Building on more than 25 years of success, we embarked on a major renovation in 2011, which was completed in 2015. The result is a campus with new and newly designed modern, luxury apartments, welcoming, beautiful public spaces and a program of PurposeFULL Living events and activities to ensure that active, vibrant, lifelong learners can retire to the lifestyle they’ve earned.

With a state-of-the-art fitness center and 7,000 sq. ft. swimming pool, residents at North Hill stay active and healthy as they age. Four dining venues offer cuisine from the comfort foods of our childhoods to up-to-minute gourmet, international cuisine, all prepared by master culinary artists with food that is fresh and local.
