One of my clients (who has a severe DR) recently told me, “I read all your posts in your Facebook group. About all the symptoms and side effect of DR. And I don’t really experience any of them. I just really hate how my belly looks.”
Truth 💣 . And it’s not something I hear many women tell me.
I think that a lot of women are afraid to admit that they hate how their bellies look. The body positivity movement is great and much needed, but then women feel like they sound vain or shallow for saying that out loud.
However…the appearance of diastasis recti matters too.
How you feel in your own body matters.
Confidence is a valid reason to seek help.
It’s super-frustrating to feel like your body is pretty much “back to normal” everywhere else but your belly. And to want your outside to reflect the work that you put in at the gym. And to be tired of having people ask if you are pregnant. (Trust me, I speak from experience.)
Your body hasn’t failed you, DR is an unfortunate but natural side effect of pregnancy. And I know that you know that your body is a miracle for creating a new little human.
But it’s also ok to want your body to feel and look more like your pre-baby self. And that’s where I come in. I can’t turn back time, or get rid of stretch marks, but I can help you regain a stronger, flatter, functional core.
And for December, I am doing it for a 10% discount. Message me and we can set up a time to chat.
