Scientists at Cambridge University have developed a new type of glitter made from fruit pulp.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​It’s just as sparkly, but it’s biodegradable, and far less harmful to the environment than conventional glitter. The new glitter is made from nanocrystals of cellulose - the natural material that builds the cell walls of plants, fruits, and vegetables.
