Yesterday we rolled together playing Yahtzee and Cover the Number. It was so much fun to see the residents cheering for one another in their games of friendly competition.

Did you know that doll therapy is a common intervention used with individuals experiencing dementia or declines in memory? They can provide comfort, companionship, and a sense of security. They can also reduce anxiety and agitation, improve mood, increase social interaction, and increase a sense of purpose. I think these smiles say all that needs to be said. Today we had another successful “Lunch with the Law”, thank you to the Fox Crossing Police officers that took time out of their day to stop by and have lunch with the residents! Everyone appreciated the good food and genuine connections.

Good for the Soul Music was here this afternoon to share some of their favorite songs and John and Cassie were accompanied by the cutest little guest singer and dancer! Their rendition of twinkle twinkle little star was absolutely adorable!

Today was a busy Monday at Copperstone, we watered the flowers, played ball, got our nails done, and the best ice cream wagon was rolling the halls this afternoon!

Today seemed as though everyone had a case of the Mondays so we went with an old reliable…balloon volleyball always brings out the smiles, laughter, and good conversation.

Donny and Patty from Still Crusin sure do know how to put on a show. The residents here at CopperStone sure to enjoy Patty’s singing and especially Donny on the saxophone! We will be humming those tunes all evening.

🎵 Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the crowd, buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks, I don’t care if we never come back 🎵….well we may not have been in Milwaukee, and Julie from housekeeping wouldn’t have approved of the peanuts, but we had Cracker Jacks and sure did have a great time watching the Brewers complete their sweep 🧹 of the Dodgers!!! It’s always better cheering with friends!

It was movie and Mocktail Monday at Copperstone! We watched Fly Me to The Moon and had our pick of a Strawberry Daiquiri, a Pina Colada, or a Miami Vice. The movie was great and the drinks were delicious!
