Crafting makes everything better, even Tuesdays!! Today we embraced fall and made some decorative pumpkins 🎃.

This afternoon we grabbed a Caffe' Americano, a Biscotti, and our Passports and "traveled" to Italy! Such beautiful landscapes, interesting architecture, and the cuisine looks amazing!

As this year’s ALF week comes to a close, this year’s theme Ageless Adventure reminds us that the journey never stops, and adventure has no limit. We would like to also take a moment to thank the wonderful staff at Copperstone for being part of the journey and the every day adventures.

We finished the week with a little warmer weather and island vibes. Today we had Luau bingo/ happy hour! We busted out our Hawaiian shirts, Hawaiian leis, had island tunes playing in the background, and enjoyed teriyaki meatballs and ocean water punch for our snack. It was such a fun way to spend our Friday afternoon. 🌴 🌊 🌺 🦩

Today was a day of indulgence. We had our Dine-In lunch from Mary’s Family Restaurant and a homemade dessert from our own kitchen staff. Memory Care residents enjoyed a Packer Happy Hour Party where they had cheese and crackers, tested their knowledge with a few football themed brain games, and participated in throwing drills. Unfortunately I don’t think the Packers are going to be calling any of us any time soon for a QB2 position on the team 😂. Either way we were all decked out in our Packers gear today in preparation for tonight. Go Pack Go!

Did you know that petting animals releases “Happy Hormones”? The brain releases oxytocin, serotonin, and prolactin during positive animal interactions, which can improve mood and alleviate feelings of sadness.
Thank you Cattail Critters for stopping by with your friendly animals! The residents loved all the cuddles, and pets, and feeding the animals treats! We all left the experience with a bigger smile on our faces!

Day 3 of ALF week brought us a corn roast with a little western wear! Robin roasted 70 cobs of corn for us to enjoy at our lunch meal. It sure was a tasty treat!

Decades day!! Kirsten was all that and a bag of chips in her 90s gear, Julie and Cindy were hanging loose in their 60s tie dye, and Robin was pretty far out in her bell bottoms and head scarf. We had generational trivia this morning, and Bob Welsch serenaded us with songs that spanned decades 😉.
