Thanks to a generous donor, our Education Coordinator was able to receive the facilitator certification to implement the Virtual Dementia Tour® experience for our team! The Virtual Dementia Tour® (VDT) is an evidence-based scientific method of building a greater understanding of dementia by building awareness and empathy in individuals caring for people living with dementia. Our team members shared that this experience enhanced their understanding and empathy with the persons living with dementia we serve.

Some of our staff recently went through the Memories in the Making certification course, which is a watercolor art program from the Alzheimer’s Association that brings comfort and joy to individuals with Alzheimer’s or other dementias. We help people age with grace. For more than 100 years, Valley VNA Senior Care has been a nonprofit trusted community resource. We are dedicated to provide a continuum of care with In-Home Care, keeping you safe and independent in your home. Independent senior apartments, assisted living and memory care. We are a Diamond Accredited organization with Wisconsin Assisted Living Association providing quality care for those in our care. Our caregiving staff assists and cares for our generations that have raised kids, grandkids, great grandchildren, traveled, served in wars, and worked hard. It is now our time to give back to them allowing them to age with grace.
