NAMI Southwest Iowa

NAMI Southwest Iowa is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), which is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. We raise awareness and provide support and education that was not previously available to those in need in Cass, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie and Shelby counties. NAMI Southwest Iowa will work to achieve a community which is stigma free by:

Increasing public awareness about mental illness. Providing advocacy for individuals and families impacted by mental illness. Supporting individuals and families impacted by mental illness. Educating individuals and families impacted by mental illness. Currently, NAMI Southwest Iowa members have been meeting in various locations throughout southwest Iowa to build membership and participation of the affiliate.
