Thank you to Sage Ivory, , and her attendants for donating handmade art kits to our pediatric patients! In the picture Sage and her attendant are surrounded by department leads who were so thankful to get these donations.

Through Sage's platform Crafting Futures, she inspires youth to unplug, create, and connect. Their kindness brought smiles and creativity to our youngest patients today! We live in a great community!

Dr. Besendorfer's Retirement party will be held on September 4th, 2025 from 1 pm to 2 pm at Central Valley Medical Center in the Great Room. Located through the main entrance, up the stairs on the 2nd Floor.

After 41 years of devoted service to the healthcare needs of our community, Dr. James Besendorfer has announced his retirement from Central Valley Medical Center.

More than just a trusted physician, Dr. Besendorfer has been a friend and familiar face to many. His impact on this community will be lasting, and the relationships he’s built with patients and families have become a cherished part of his life and legacy. On behalf of everyone at Central Valley Medical Center, we sincerely thank Dr. Besendorfer for his exceptional service and unwavering commitment. We also extend our deepest appreciation to his family for the support they’ve shown throughout his remarkable career.

Please come and celebrate our friend, colleague, and trusted physician. We wish him all the best in retirement and know that his legacy will continue to inspire those who follow in his footsteps.

Nanette Baker, Director of People Operations – passionate about building strong teams, leading with heart, and creating a culture of growth.

Shelly Richardson, People Operations Manager – with 23 years in HR (13 at CVMC!), she’s dedicated to fostering a positive workplace and supporting both employees and leadership.

Together, they’ll continue to put people first because when our team thrives, so do our patients and community.

Central Valley Medical Center, also known as CVMC, opened its doors as a small rural hospital owned by Juab County in the 1950’s. We have grown from a single hospital to a not-for-profit healthcare system that provides medical care to rural communities in Central Utah.

CVMC is a Critical Access Hospital that is a recognized and distinguished leader in Central Utah.
